Selangor Travel - Getting to Selangor by Taxi and Bus

If you're coming from Kuala Lumpur, the easiest way to get to Selangor is by taxi. Taxis are plentiful in KL. Simply hail a taxi in KL and tell the taxi driver where you want to go, and the next thing you know, you're already there! (of course, if you're traveling during the peak hours, you'd have to go through the traffic jam along the Federal Highway)

If you would like to experience the warmth of Malaysians up, close and personal, you can travel to Selangor by bus. There are many buses serving Selangor, with bus stations at all main towns, including Shah Alam, Klang, Petaling Jaya, Kuala Selangor, Kajang and KUala Kubu Baru.

Selangor Travel - Getting to Selangor by LRT & Commuter Trains

Another convenient way to get to Selangor from KL is by the LRT (Light Rail Transit) and Commuter trains. You can get to most parts of Selangor via this mode of transportation. If this is your chosen mode of transportation to get to Selangor, it would greatly help if you have a Rail Transit Map (LRT & Commuter trains).

If you're coming to Selangor from other parts of Malaysia, you can either choose to fly into Selangor by Air, by rail or you could drive yourself there.

Selangor Travel - Getting to Selangor by Air

If you flew in by air, you would be flying into the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang, which mainly caters for domestic flights, as well as for flights to nearby regional destinations. Bus and taxi services are aplenty at this airport.

Getting to Selangor by KTM Trains

If you're coming from Thailand, Singapore or from other parts of Peninsular Malaysia, you could get to Selangor by the KTM (Keretapi Tanah Melayu) train services. With a railway network from Singapore all the way to Thailand, passing through major towns in Peninsular Malaysia along the way, traveling by train is a great way to enjoy the scenic views of the different states in Malaysia. Alight the train at the KL Sentral, and from there, you can choose to take the different modes of transportation available at KL sentral to get to your desired destination.

Getting to Selangor by Road

If you choose to drive to Selangor, the North-South highway provides convenient access to Selangor from Thailand, Singapore and all the other parts of the Peninsular.
